Kehua Guarantees Uninterrupted Power Generation of Solar Thermal Power Project in Hami

.

Recently, after the installation and debugging of 14,500 heliostats has been completed, Xinjiang Hami 50MW Molten Salt Tower Solar Thermal Power Station entered a stable power generation period. This Project is first solar thermal power demonstration project in Xinjiang as well as the first batch of solar thermal power demonstration projects in China.

Solar thermal project is characterized in that it can achieve 24-hour uninterrupted power generation and is no longer subject to the rising and setting of the sun. Heliostat, as the interface between solar energy and power station, reflects solar energy to the heat absorber, absorbs heat through the heat absorber, and stores the heat. The stored high-temperature molten salt generates high-temperature and high-pressure steam through heat exchange, which drives the steam turbine unit to generate electricity.

The heat of molten salt comes from the accurate operation of the heliostat, and ensuring the reliable operation of the heliostat has become a top priority. This cannot be done without the contribution of Kehua industrial-grade high-reliability power supply solution.

Facing the extreme environments such as high temperature, intense heat and sandstorm, this is a thorough test of the stability, safety and reliability of Kehua products. After investigation and analysis, Kehua team provided several high-reliability 800kVA KR33 series UPS for the project, which effectively guaranteed the stable and uninterrupted operation of the focusing, resetting and concentrating collector system of heliostat.

Hami Solar Thermal Power Project is a green and environment-friendly project. Its power generating quality and efficiency are superior to that of PV and wind power projects. Besides, it can also supplement and support PV and wind power projects. After completed, it is expected to generate 198 million kWh/year of clean power and reduce CO2 emissions by 156,200 tons/year.
